Session 2016/17 Skills for Work in the Textiles Industry • Designed to attract new talent into the Textiles Industry • Encourages partnerships between Schools/FE/Industry • SCQF level 5 • 3 units - Introduction to the Industry, Textile Technologies and Product Development • As with all of our Skills for Work courses, this links well with the Developing the Young Workforce agenda • Available from August 2017

Revised National Qualifications Changes are being made to all four subjects at National 5 level, with effect from session 2017/18. • Fashion and Textile Technology • Health and Food Technology • Hospitality: Practical Cake Craft • Hospitality: Practical Cookery Unit assessment will be removed.

  12. Revised National Qualifications National 5 Fashion and Textile Technology The course will be assessed by a Question Paper and a Practical Activity. • Question Paper will be worth 30% of the total mark • Practical Activity will be worth 70% of the total mark

  13. Revised National Qualifications National 5 Health and Food Technology The course will be assessed by a Question Paper and an Assignment. • Question Paper will be worth 50% of the total mark • Assignment will be worth 50% of the total mark

  14. Revised National Qualifications Hospitality: Practical Cake Craft The course will be assessed by a Question Paper and a Practical Activity. • Question Paper will be worth 25% of the total mark • Practical Activity will be worth 75% of the total mark

  21. All Saints Educational Trust Aim to increase numbers of teachers with specialism in Food related subjects and to improve the skills and qualifications of experienced teachers. The Trust has a competitive process to award funds to support candidates applying for first degrees with QTS (or equivalent) or postgraduate awards (MEd, MA, MSc) with a view to working in this subject area in any phase.
