  2. What its like to be a vertebrate • To have a back bone is called a vertebrate. • Cartilaginous fish have a special kind of backbone made of cartilage.

  3. Habitat • A cartilaginous fishes habitat is in water. • The water it lives in can be salt water or fresh water. • Most cartilaginous fish live in salt water but the can live in fresh water.

  4. Cold blooded • A cartilaginous fish is cold blooded • To be cold blooded means you cant control there body temp

  5. Life cycle • Reproduce egg or live birth. • Hatchling just hatched or young • very small • Adult • Die • And keeps on going

  6. How to breath • What are gills? Gills are how they breath. • Gills separate oxygen from water

  7. Body covering • Their skin is like sand paper long ago people used there skin for sand paper.
