  12. Icelanders • On Sunday evening we arrived in Bregenz, eight students and three teachers. There we stayed for the week. We lived in the students home, they were all so generous to take care of us the whole time. • In these five days we did a lot of things like for example, we went with the students to there school, we went to the Pfänder and saw the amazing view from there, we went to Feldkirch and walked trough the Wild life park, ate schnitzel at the Schattenburg and had a guided tour around the castle there. We went to Lindau in Germany and we went by boat on the way back.On Tuesday the group split in two. One group went to a brewery, a cheese-factory and also hiking in Damüls, while the other group went to Lech, a small skiing village and went skiing in the Alps.We really thought this was a fun trip to Austria, everybody were so nice and friendly, we are very thankful to our hosts to have taken us to there home for few days. We think it is pretty beautiful in Austria, at least what we saw of it and we liked the food. Thanks for a great week:) • We were supposed to go home on Friday, 23 April, but because of the Volcano in Iceland we were stuck in Europe for another five days. On Friday we went to Memmingen but our flight company had cancelled all flights. So next day our teachers decided to rent a car and drive us to Berlin. There we stayed in a hostel for four nights and enjoyed our time in Berlin. • Greetings from the Icelandic students • Dagný, Klara, Guðný, Gunnþórunn, Hrafn, Hafliði, Helena and Leifur :)

  15. feedback • GabrieleRev Niebo Sabini • ‎1- it was not difficult, if you can speak a good english and if you have a good partner there is not the language barrier2- the thing that strike me most was that at school you do not use the shoes.3- i think they are not reserved, they a...re only shy like every persons that do not know someone.4- i found few similarietes, but i can say that bregenz is cleaner and with more beatiful people than turin5- I think that the most beatiful sight seen was when we were on the bregenz hill and we saw everything :D6- i liked so much going out the evening

Das Sich-bewusst-werden wie privilegiert man doch lebt, war die wohl spannendste Erkenntnis des CUS-Projekts. • Verena Johler, 3 Wochen in Metz 2010Selten habe ich so viele tolle Menschen getroffen, die so großzügig, liebenswert und weltoffen sind, und auch wenn ich eine Fremde war und mein Französisch erst im Laufe der Zeit besser wurde, wurde ich als Freundin in die Gruppe aufgenommen und in sämtliche Tätigkeiten eingebunden. Auf keinen Fall würde ich auch nur eine Minute dieser Zeit missen wollen, und hätte ich die Möglichkeit diese Erfahrung noch einmal zu machen – ich würde keine Sekunde zögern meine Koffer zu packen.

Ambros Strolz, Ungarn 2004 und Island 2009Mit „Europe in a Saladbowl“ verbinde ich aufregende Schüleraustausche, von denen man fürs weitere Leben weit mehr mitnehmen kann als von so mancher Unterrichtsstunde. Jedes Land wartet mit Besonderheiten auf mit denen man nicht rechnet. Diese von Gleichaltrigen erklärt zu bekommen baut viele Vorurteile ab und schafft kulturelles Verständnis. Ich bin froh, mich auf das "Abenteuer" Comenius-Projekt eingelassen zu haben, denn die Reisen zählten mit zu den schönsten die ich je machen durfte. • Aaron Simonitsch, Prag und Vác, 2009Es hat mich sehr fasziniert, wie anders das Leben in Ländern, deren Kultur in meinem Kopf dem Vorurteil entsprachen, unserem Leben doch zum Schmunzeln ähnlich sind. Liebe EU, ich möchte an noch so einem Projekt teilnehmen.
