Writing a CV • What is the difference between CV and a resume? • The answer is that CV is more complicated than a resume. For example, personal educational level, working history, publications or any honorable projects presented. Therefore, it needs to be more details in personal history.
If you are looking for a job, it is important for you to understand how to offer yourself in the best way to an employer. • CV (Curriculum vitae) is the short word of life story, called in some countries a resume.
CV is simply an expert to ‘sell yourself to an employer.’ The purpose of writing your CV is to make you attractive, interesting, worth considering to the company and further get a job interview.
General advice • A CV needs to be at least typed, well laid out and printed on a good quality printer. Please use bold and/or underline print for headings. Please also use the spell-check on your computer.
Please keep it simple. • Please make what you have written obvious to you, but not to an employer. Go through it again and again with a red pen, making it shorter, more readable, more understandable!
