Message of Hope In December 2008, Share International distributed a news release announcing that in the very near future a large, bright star will appear in the sky visible throughout the world night and day. It will herald the public emergence of Maitreya the World Teacher. Since 1977 Maitreya has been in the modern world awaiting the invitation from humanity to come forward and inaugurate the Age of Aquarius. Not a religious leader, but an educator in the broadest sense pointing the way out of the present world crisis.
