BHIS Replacement • Cost: Approximately $1.5 - $2M • Cost includes hardware, software and consulting services • DOIT to begin charging DMHAS $100K per year for maintenance of old hardware • Timeline: Approximately 18 – 24 months • Recommended start of Assessment Phase: March, 2008 • Potential Risks: • Upgrading or replacing three major applications concurrently • Same facility or OOC resources may be needed for DPAS and/or RMS • Replacement Options: • Upgrade BHIS to Avatar • Develop Replacement BHIS In-House • ► Leverage RMS application architecture and experience of development staff • Scope: Replacement of current BHIS functionality • Recommended Sponsorship: • Executive Sponsor: Paul DiLeo Business Sponsor: Wayne Trudeau
