Of First Importance “For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures…” (1 Corinthians 15:3; NASBU) “of first importance” – protos – foremost (in time, place, order or importance) (Strong’s). Christ died for our sins!

  6. The Gospel of Christ GOD’S wrath, stored up beginning with Adam’s sin and extending to all of your sin and mine and to all the sin to the end of the world was poured on Christ on the Cross. He drank the cup of GOD’S wrath for you and me. “For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.” (2 Corinthians 5:21; NKJV)

  8. Of First Importance • Jesus is the main man. • “…the Man Christ Jesus…” • The Crucifixion is the main event. • “…gave Himself a ransom for all…” This Man and this event is to define me!

  9. I Stand Amazed • Sinful mankind • A holy GOD • His plan of salvation • The symbolism of the sacrificial system • The giving of the law • The repeated failures of mankind • The steadfast faithfulness of GOD “But when the fullness of the time had come…” (Galatians 4:4-7)
