Amelia Earhart At ten years old Amelia saw her first plane and it did not impress her, it was old and rusty and she did not look at it twice.
Amelia Earhart It wasn’t until about a decade after that fair that she was entranced by a plane, at a stunt flying show. A pilot swooped past her in his little red plane and as she noticed she stood her ground. At that moment she knew when that plane swooshed past her she had to fly a plane.
Amelia Earhart • Amelia completed Hyde Park High School in 1915, then attended a girls finishing school but left after the start of her second year to be a nurses aid in the army for World War I.

This was a huge step forward for all women.
