  4. Accomplishments • May 21, 1932, flew to Europe. • Flew across U.S.A.,1928. • Crossed ocean in 15 hours 18 minutes. • Started a round the world flight on June 1 1937. • Plane is lost, June 3, 1937. • Won a lot of awards in England.

  5. Later Life • 1931 married Gorge Palmer Patner. • June 3 1937, lost at sea.

  6. Fun Facts • Named her plane Friendship. • Nick names were, Lady Lindy, First Lady of Air. • Placed 3rd in Women's Air Derby.
