Grantee participation in evaluation of NOFAs • Pre-award webinar for applicants • Foundation’s logic model & long-term outcomes • Pre-award individual technical assistance for applicants • Assistance with Case Statement, outcomes, logic model, and/or evaluation plan as requested • Post-award orientation webinar • Evaluation expectations • Template provided – Evaluation Plan Worksheet • Coaching Call • Indicators developed for outcomes as defined in proposal

Questions for consideration • Given the coaching call is conducted with a Foundation employee, what is the grantee voice if there is disagreement on suggested outcomes or indicators? • Does the power dynamic restrict the grantee from truly asking the questions that would most benefit their organization, particularly if those questions are not of interest to the Foundation? • Does the evaluation TA actually improve evaluation design? Grantee reporting? • To what extent are grantees building (and measuring) evaluation capacity through this “low-touch” evaluation coaching approach?
