Engineering - the application of sciences to the construction of hardware or/and software. Engineering design - an iterative decision making process in which sciences are applied to devise a system to meet the needs of the client.

A need exists for a simple feeding device. It should be electromechanical and operate from its own power source. The design should be economical, have a light weight, and be simple to use and maintain.
