  2. Portfolio! • We’ll go through each divider. • Insert the rubric (provided with your 4th G/A sheet) as the first page in your portfolio. • Don’t include items unrelated to the dividers. They just clutter the portfolio. Due May 20th for Seniors and June 13th for everyone else!

  3. Portfolio • Opening Content • Cover Page which includes your project title, your name, the name of the course, the name of your advisor/mentor, and a table of contents • A personal introduction naming who you are, why you took this course, and why you chose your topic • Abstract and Rubric

  4. Portfolio: Divider 1 • Objectives and Journal Entries • Consolidated, organized objectives and journals/accomplishments • This doesn’t mean you have to reprint all on one page… just put in chronological order like you’ve done all year.

  5. Portfolio: Divider 2 • Hypothesis • Metacognitive paragraph about Hypothesis • Hypothesis and Rubric • What’s this metacognitive paragraph? • How did this assignment demonstrate that you have one or more of the characteristics listed? • Use the sentence stems to help you.

Sample Metacognitive Paragraph • Research Proposal • The goal in doing this assignment was to clarify my project, how I would collect data, my intended audience, and to address the question of, “What will change as a result of my work?” It also allowed me to create a timeline of my year-long study. By doing this assignment, I was able to more efficiently see what I needed to accomplish and by when. I referred to this often when completing other work for this course.

  7. Portfolio: Divider 3 • Research Proposal • Metacognitive paragraph about Research Proposal • Signed Research Proposal with Rubric (revised to reflect what has actually been accomplished)

  8. Portfolio: Divider 4 • Annotated Sources • Metacognitive paragraph about Annotated Sources • Annotated Source List (edited, in correct bibliographic form) • Include rubric/grade sheet

  9. Portfolio: Divider 5 • Synthesis Paper (including Outline) • Metacognitive paragraph about a research paper outline and Research Paper • Research Paper Outline • Research Paper, final revised version, with signed sheet by your mentor/advisor • Include rubric/grade sheet

  10. Portfolio: Divider 6 • Conference Proposal • Student Learning Conference Proposal and Biography If you presented or attended, include artifacts like the booklet, evaluation forms, etc.

  11. Portfolio: Divider 7 • Speeches/Oral Presentations • Metacognitive paragraph about Oral Presentation(s) • PowerPoint slides (preferably in color, on your dime) and evaluations of Oral Presentation(s) • 6 on a sheet

  12. Portfolio: Divider 8 • Correspondence • Metacognitive paragraph about correspondence association • Letter to a professional association, emails, interview

  13. Portfolio: Divider 9 • Evidence of final project • Metacognitive paragraph about Final Project • Timeline of Product Development • Photo of the display board • Final Product and Evaluations (Discuss with Dr. Kiehl how you will document your final product if it is not a print document.)

  14. Portfolio: Divider 10 • Evaluations • Specifically, Mentor Quarterly Evaluations, and a sample of your final product evaluation

  15. Final Exam • On the day of your exam, we will: • Do peer reviews of each other’s portfolios. • Complete an Evaluation Form for your Internship. • Complete an Evaluation Form of the course.
