  1. 2704 V6.0 software - June 2003 • Hardware compatibility • New micro-board required • New Features • Boiler TDS functions • Programmer enhancements • Other little things to make life easier

  2. Boiler TDS • What is Boiler TDS? • TDS (total dissolved solids) is the measurement of particles in a fluid. For example water in a steam boiler. • Why do we need to control it? • High TDS causes foaming on the surface of the water. This reduces boiler efficiency and contaminates the steam system. Steam Steam TDS Probe Continuous Blowdown Water Feedwater Bottom Blowdown

  3. 2704 TDS Functions • TDS Measurement • TDS is derived from conductivity measurement in S/cm • New conductivity input module, order code TD • TDS Control • Continuous control • Temperature compensated TDS reading in PPM or S/cm@25°C • Probe deterioration alarm • Reduced probe scale build up • Simple calibration functions • Timed bottom blowdown • Uses real time clock to initiate blowdown • Can be networked in multiple boiler installations • Complies with PM60 - UK standard concerning multiple boiler installations

  4. Profile 2 Profile 1 Profile 3 2704 Programmer • Ability to run Asynchronous Profiles • Up to 3 setpoint profiles • Each profile has its own timebase • 20 stored programs per profile • 16 Digital outputs per profile • Option “A” in Loops/Program field • Program Run Groups • Ability to store 20 groups • Common Run, Hold & Reset • Advanced Editing • Insertion/deletion of segments • Copy/paste of programs • Custom naming of digital events • Increase to 60 Synchronous Programs
