1 of 2 Intravesical gentamicin (iGM) instillation for recurrent urinary tract infection (rUTI) due to multi-drug-resistant (MDR) bacteria Cohort study: N=14 pts (8 ♂; 34-79 yr) with symptomatic rUTI (>3x/yr); MDR bacteria (>3 antibiotic classes) in 12/14 pts; in all, oral prophylaxis had failed iGM (80 mg GM in 20 ml NaCl 0.9%) instillation: During initial phase: daily for 3h or overnight Afterwards: interval varied from every 3rd day to 1x/wk Median treatment (Tx) duration: 42 wk (6-148 wk) Stalenhoef JE.
