Solids, liquids and gases By Mya
Solids • The particles of a solid are bundled up tightly together • The particles vibrate slightly
Liquids • The liquid particles have more space to move around • Liquid takes any shape of its container
Gases • Gases have and excessive amount of space to move around • The particle move really quickly
Diagram Solid liquid gas The solid will melt into a liquid. And then it will go through the process of evaporation. All this is a reversible change.
Did You know? Did you know: Bubbles in Coke are basically carbon dioxide trying to get to the surface of the liquid That Air can flowThat ‘The air’ is a mixture of different gases Clouds are made up of water vapour
Experiment (Before) Container filled with water Beaker filled with air and water Beaker filled with water We are trying to test if air can flow
Experiment (after) When we poured the beaker the air tried to escape up so we put the other beaker on top and it stayed there So we proved it air can flow
