Examples are 3D objects, animations and interactive buttons. Image Recognition only - Skip the pop-up effect and lead directly to content in full-screen.   14. “THE TOKYO SHIMBUN” NEWSPAPER The advertising firm Dentsu, Tokyo Shimbun launched an augmented-reality reading application called Tokyo AR in Oct 2012 that translates the newspaper into kid-friendly content. When app users hold their smartphone over the newspaper pages, the articles become animated with cartoon characters, pop-up headlines, and commentaries. The free app was developed by AR platform Aurasma. VIDEO WEB

  15. “NEW HORIZONTS” TEXTBOOK The publisher Tokyo Shosekihas added little conversation vignette videos to a book that teaches English as a foreign language. These are books for an adult student who wants to learn or relearn a foreign language. The AR comes in because you need to point a camera equipped iPhone at the requisite page in the textbook in order for each video to pop up. VIDEO WEB
