  1. Chapter 15-2: Skeletal System Joint: -a place where two or more bones meet. Hinge joint: -joint that allows you to flex and extend your leg.

  2. Arthritis: -disease that causes joints to swell or stiffen. Sprain: -an injury in which a ligament is stretched too far or torn.

  3. Ball-and-socket joint: -joint that allows you to move your arm in all directions. Marrow: -material that fills some of your bones and makes blood cells.

  4. Cartilage: -tissue that cushions the ends of bones where they meet in a joint. Osteoporosis: -disease that causes bones to b/m weak and break more easily.

  5. Minerals: -what your bone store to help your nerves and muscles work properly. Gliding joint: -joint that allows the bones in your hand and wrist to move.
