  1. Precautions • Hand hygiene should be performed for all patients before entering and leaving a room. Hand washing must be done for C. difficile, anthrax or any other spore forming organism. • Transport into and out of rooms should be limited for essential purposes only. For droplet, airborne or airborne + contact (strict) a surgical mask must be worn by the patient during transport. • All areas receiving a patient on precautions must be notified before hand – including transporte
