  5. USE/UPORABA I.TRENUTNE RADNJE 1.) The Present Continuous Tense koristimoza izražavanjeradnjekoja je u tijeku u trenutkugovorenja. “We are sitting in the classroom.” Uzovoglagolskovrijeme se koristepriložneoznakevremena:now, at this moment i at present. 2.) Ovoglagolskovrijeme se koristizaizražavanjeradnjekoja je u tijeku ‘okosada’. “I am reading a book about astronomy.” “I usually work in the galley, but today I am working in the saloon.”

The Present Continuous Tense se takođerkoristikadagovorimo o dogovorimaiplanovimazabliskubudućnost. “He is dining with the master this evening.” “Thisshipis sailing to New Yorktomorrow” 4.) Ovovrijemekoristimo s alwaysiconstantlyumjesto Present Simple zaradnječijaučestalostživciragovornikaili mu se čininerazumnom.   7. GLAGOLI KOJI NISU UOBIČAJENI U CONTINUOUS OBLIKU I. Glakolikojimaizražavamostanje, a ne radnjukoriste se u simple obliku .Tim glagolimaizražavamo: 1.) Mišljenje: • believe, think, understand, suppose, expect, agree, doubt, know, remember, forget, mean, imagine, realize,, prefer... 2.) Osjećaje: • like, love, hate, care, hope, wish, want, admit...

  8. GLAGOLI KOJI NISU UOBIČAJENI U CONTINUOUS OBLIKU II. 3.) Posjedovanjeistanje: • belong, own, have, possess, contain, cost, notice, seem, appear, need, depend on, weight, come from, resemble... 4.) Glagolikojisuvezaniuzosjetila: • see, hear, taste, smell, feel. • Kada je subjekt u rečeniciosobačestouznjihkoristimomodalniglagol can. “Can you see that cargoliner?” “I can hear theship’sbell.”

  9. GLAGOLI KOJI U CONTIUNOUSOBLIKUMIJENJAJU ZNAČENJE Nekiod spomenutih glagola se koriste u continuous oblikualitadaizražavajuradnju, a ne stanje. I think you are right. (mišljenje) We are thinkingof buying a car. (mentalnaaktivnost) He has a lot of money. (posjedovanje) He is havinga bath. (aktivnost) I see what you mean. (razumijeti) Are you seeing Nigel tomorrow? (aktivnost) The soup tastes awful. (stanje) I am tastingthe soup to see if it needs salt. (aktivnost)
