  3. Where is Ellensburg? CWU launched the SHM program in 1974 Graduated over 500 OS&H professionals Near 100% job placement Better than 80% employed in WA, OR & CA Majority of the graduates work in construction (>60%) CWU’s Safety and Health Management (SHM) Program

  4. Offerings • Bachelor of Science in SHM • Construction Safety Minor • SHM Minor • Our Employer Distribution (sample) CWU’s Safety and Health Management Program

  5. Section was less active for several years Program instability/faculty turnover Change in program leadership Section reestablished in fall 2011 With a goal to ensure a stable Section Support of all ASSE chapters in OR & WA Reestablishment of the ASSE Student Section at CWU
