Backup Methods • How many different ways to backup data can you think of? • E.g. Backup to tape and store off-site
Backup Terminology • Full Backup • Backs up every file on the target location • Differential Backup • Includes all files that have changed since the last Full backup (any files that are ‘different’ to when the last full backup was performed) • Incremental Backup • Includes every file that has changed since the last Full, Differential or Incremental Backup
