Move-in/Move-outShort-term Recommendations and Ideas • CR #1 – Provide Visibility into ERCOT’s Systems • Being addressed through various phases of the ETS project • Refer to ETS update (part of ERCOT’s Master Plan) • CR #2 – Cancellation of Pending Switch • White Paper written by Cary Reed (AEP) • Being discussed by working group of Project Sponsors • CR #3 – Holding Move-in/Move-out Transactions • White Paper being written by Leanne Hayden (Republic) • Being discussed by working group of Project Sponsors • CR #4 – Splitting Move-in from Switch • White Paper written by Vernon Pierce (Entergy) • Analysis to be provided to Long-term Move-in/Move-out Task Force • Sponsors agreed to not go forward with this CR in the short-term

Move-in/Move-outShort-term Recommendations and Ideas • CR #5 – Safety Net Move-in • This issue was dropped by the Task Force as it is a temporary solution being run by the TDSPs • CR #6 – NFI Reject Codes • White Paper written by Lan Conn (Entergy) • Analysis to be provided to Long-term Move-in/Move-out Task Force • Short-term solution already implemented by ERCOT • CR #7 – Expedite ESIID Creation • (7A) ERCOT implemented automated process to prioritize “Create” transactions • (7B) White Paper being written by Darrell Hobbs (Oncor) • Being discussed by working group of Project Sponsors • Action Requested: RMS concurrence to close CR#1, 4, 5, and 6

Move-in/Move-outShort-term Recommendations and Ideas • Idea #1 – Eliminating the Initial Meter Read • ERCOT is looking into the possibility of allowing one 867 transaction to be separated out and sent to old and new CR based on N1~SJ segments • Further analysis must be done to determine what ERCOT system impacts will occur • A White Paper will be written by ERCOT and presented to the Project Sponsors for discussion by September 7, 2002 • Idea #2 – Relaxing NFI Logic • ERCOT is looking into the possibility of allowing additional Move-in/Move-out transactions to successfully stage after the receipt of a successful 814_04 from the TDSP • Further analysis must be done to determine what ERCOT system impacts will occur • A White Paper will be written by ERCOT and presented to the Project Sponsors for discussion by September 7, 2002
