  2. Who is Invited? You received an invitation to join Gamma Beta Phi because you are in the top 20% of your class invitations were sent to all majors

  3. What is Gamma Beta Phi? • We are a national honor society, that welcomes all majors • You must be invited to join Gamma Beta Phi • You must maintain a 3.0 or better GPA to remain a member • We are a service society, and expect participation

  4. How do you serve? • We use a point system to track participation: • If you live within Calloway County, you must earn 15 points per semester 10 points for remainder of this semester • If you outside of Calloway County, you must earn 10 points per semester 7 points for remainder of this semester • Points are easy to earn: • Attend meetings or events • Volunteer and/or make donations • An officer in another organization • Various Other ways throughout the semester

  5. Points • Meetings: • 1 point attending • 1 point wearing GBP shirt • 1 point wearing GBP pin • 3 points total each meeting • Events: • 1 point attending • 1 point wearing GBP shirt • 1 point wearing GBP pin • 1 point bringing guest • 4 points total each event

  6. Points • Volunteer: • 1 point for every 30 minutes volunteered, up to 3 points per location per month. This can be anywhere, print out the form, have it signed at the facility, and return the form for credit. We contribute to three local organizations as a group, there are sign-in sheets at each Calloway Co Animal Shelter Calloway Co Humane Society Calloway Co Need-Line The Volunteer Form is available on our website

  7. Points • Volunteer: • It should be noted that volunteering must be done for • Gamma Beta Phi • You may not count time volunteered for other reasons unless under special circumstances, which will be • address on individual basis

  8. Points • Donations: • Points are given for donated items such as; food and other items for need-line. Also needed is dog food, cat food, and cat litter for the animal shelter. The number of points earned will depend on size (cost) of items donated. You can earn 3 points per location per month for donations. We contribute to three local organizations as a group, there are sign-in sheets at each Calloway Co Animal Shelter Calloway Co Humane Society Calloway Co Need-Line Donations for these locations may be brought to any meeting or event You can make donations on your own as well, print out the form, have it signed at the facility, and return the form for credit.

  9. Points • If you decide to join Gamma Beta Phi • You will receive a point for attending todays meeting • You will also receive a point for attending the Induction Ceremony

  11. Fees • Total fees to join are 75.00 • One time national fee of 60.00 • Local chapter dues 15.00 • Fees will be due no later than 10/29/2013 • Thereafter: • Our local chapter dues are 15.00 per year • due in the fall
