At a time of financial constraint, NHS Glos has prioritised dementia, and is making investment to support roll out of the strategy
Work on service redesign has been based on feedback from last year’s summit, and this year, we seek to get your feedback on our proposals for dementia services in primary care. A consultation document outlining these proposals in included in your delegate pack. The workshop will provide a further opportunity to discuss.
Significant amount of work has been undertaken since last year across the whole pathway, with support from our partner agencies, including GCC, 2FT, GHNHSFT, and the voluntary sector (Alzheimer’s Society and Carers Gloucestershire)

a significant increase in referrals to community mental health teams

We have an SHA that has identified dementia as a key priority for service improvement
