2. Covenant of Mayores in 10.03. 2009 City of Sarajevo City of Sarajevo has adopted the SEAP of the City of Sarajevo in 2011. Measures for reduction of the CO2 emissions have been defined in the adopted SEAP. These measures propose the increase in the energy efficiency in public and educational buildings, as well as the education of young people (pupils) and employees within the public sector on energy efficiency and renewable energy sources.

3. Sarajevo city • The problems identified in the SEAP are: • Great losses in heat on residential and public buildings due to the structure’s age • Low level of awareness on climate change is among the main factors which are facing the local community in public administration • One of the main obstacles to implement the SEAP is the lack of financial resources to do the interventions listed in the Plans. • Based on that, the pilot project will be focused on providing training courses in order to educate the young generations on environmental protection and the use of alternative sources for energy production.

4. Increasing energy efficiency in Eco-schools and public administrationbuildings One of the main goals of the SEAP is the Increase of EE in public facilities (schools, municipalities, nurseries, etc.). The main activities will beaimed at assessing the currentconditions and analyzing the possibilities for implementing projects in the field of EE. Education and raising awareness among young people and employees of the public administration will be carried out simultaneously 2. Feasibility study on creation of support fund to energy efficient housing in cities During the study preparation, questionnaires on the awareness of citizens on the possibilities to use funds for EE are going to be conducted. The Study is going to present an environmental criterion for receiving and ensuring funds for the improvement of EE. The model in accordance with the best EU practices for financing projects in the sector of EE is going to be presented / prepared. Pilot Cases

6. Hydro-Engineering Institute Sarajevo Hydro-Engineering Institute Sarajevo is independent, market oriented, consulting, designing, scientific and research organization. Our activities encompass science and research work, education, planning, consulting as well as revision of investment and technical documents from the fields of water and Environment Officeof EE of theSarajevoCity City of Sarajevo recently opened its Office for Energy Efficiency in 2010 year. In addition to informing the citizens, the main task of the office is the establishment of a system for the collection and processing of data from the relevant field of EE. 3. CESD CESD is a non-profit organization registered as an association of citizens in the Federal Ministry Justice 10.04.2000 The primary mission of CESD is to promote the values ​​of civil society through education, public awareness and strengthening of human resources in the field of environmental protection and cooperation with similar regional and international centers, promoting and applying the highest international standards in this area, which specifically contribute to environmentally sustainable development in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
