Language barrier in ICT • Khmer language • Many different Khmer fonts developed to use in Computers • Word-to-words separation not visible in all scripts - but necessary • Document exchange is not possible • User habits • UNICODE for Khmer to be implemented • Localization • Promote the use of local language in ICT • English language • Majority of Cambodian people do not speak or write good English • Learning materials are mostly in English, content adaptation? • Computer software is also in English 1994-2005 Asia Pacific Networking Group All Copy Right Reserved
