Virtual model of elements of one of MX beamline at the Australian Synchrotron Facility (ASF). The model includes a removable kappa ‘head’ attached to the omega platform . The model is incorporated in STAC and was derived as VRML and then X3D from a STEP file provided to Sandor Brockhauser by the ASF. Doug du Boulay then utilised the model as part of a browser based system for driving the model with the intention of remotely assessing data collection strategies.
