Re UP OBJECTIVES • Support and start up for aspiring entrepreneurs or newly formed companies (within 12 months) • This year the goal is the constitution of 15 companies operating in the field of childcare and tourist promotion • Average age of the participants: 32 • Resources: a Warranty fund of 60.000 € (15.000 € of which financed by three local banks) • Deadline: 31st January 2013

Re UP PHASES • The course begins with a classroom training aimed at developing entrepreneurs’ specialized skills and strategies necessary to the creation of start-up businesses • The second step is to support the aspiring entrepreneur in the effective start-up of the business • Now the project is ongoing

  5. Re UP FOLLOW UP – 1st EDITION • In the previous edition of “Re Up” 7 start-up companies promoted by entrepreneurs under 40 were accompanied • The fields were biomedical, energy, communication technology, electronics, food and security • About 45 people are actually employed by these companies

Vecchi mestieri per giovani imprese OBJECTIVES • Support, training and start up for youngwhowant to start a small business activity in ancient and traditional job, especiallycraftsmenwho work asbakers, tailors, restorer.. • The goal is the constitution of 10 small craft businesses • Age of the participants: 25 – 30 years • Resources: Budget: 200.000 € (66.000 € of whichfinanced by the partners) • Partners: Province of Reggio Emilia, Parma, Piacenza and 2 vocational training companies • Deadline: 28th March 2013

Vecchi mestieri per giovani imprese PHASES • The coursebegins with a classroom training aimedatdevelopingentrepreneurs’ specializedskills and strategiesnecessary to the creation of start-up businesses. Especiallygiving the tools to commercially exploit the business idea. A specific part isdedicated to the construction of the business plan • Afterwards the participantsattend an internship (3 monthsatleast) in a craft business to learn expertise from the tutor (artisan) • The last stepprovides the participants with the support for the start up of their business (according to the realperspective of success of their idea) • Now the project is ongoing

Cooperare per crescere PHASES • The projectbegin with professional training courses to provideanspiringentrepreneurs the necessariesprofessionalskills (management and organization, feasibilityanalysis, business strategy, investmentsector and drafting a business plan) • Accompanyeachparticipant – according to its business sector - with the implementation of the cooperatives (earlystages of the entrepreneurialjourney) • Now the project is ongoing

Cooperare per crescere • OBJECTIVE • The objective of the projectis the promotion of a culture of entrepreneurshipthrough the creation of new cooperative societies • Age of the participants: 19 – 35 • Resources: 73.541 € (51.479 € Regional fund, 22.062 € Province of Reggio Emilia) 40.000 € of whichgiven to participantsas no refundloan • Deadline: 30thSeptember 2013

Istituto Tecnico Superiore ITS • WHAT IS ITS? • A two – year post – diploma course; • It is free and trains highly skilled technicians • in mechanics and mechatronics; • The training includes approximately 2000 hours, • 30% of which​​in internships and 50% in classroom; • The qualification released is that of: • “Higher technician of process innovation and mechanical products”

  17. Istituto Tecnico Superiore ITS • ACCESS REQUIREMENTS • Designed for graduates from Techical High School (high school diploma ismandatory); • An assessment test is provided to select up to 25 students per year.

Leonardo da Vinci • The Leonardo da Vinci Programme funds practical projects in the field of vocational education and training • These include mobility initiatives enabling people to train in another country through an internship experience • Since 2009 the Province of Reggio Emilia is promoting mobility projects addressed to the young people of its territory

Leonardo da Vinci (PLM) • Projectsaddressing to People on the Labour Market (19-32 years): • OlTre Genius (2009 -2010) • 99 participants (of which 25 from the province of Reggio Emilia) • 4T4EU (2010 -2011) • 100 participants (of which 34 from the province of Reggio Emilia) • CompeTer(2011 - 2012) • 20 participants from the province of Reggio Emilia • Mech Your Move! (2012 – ongoing) • 56 participants (of which 25 from the province of Reggio Emilia)

Leonardo da Vinci (PLM) • Total duration: 14 weeks • 2 weeks of languagecourse • 12 weeks of internship • Destinationcountries: Ireland, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Lithuania, Portugal, Spain • Costscovered by Leonardo Scholarship: • Accommodation • Language course • Insurance • Pocket money

Leonardo da Vinci (IVT) • In 2012 wealsoapplied for a mobilityprojectaddressing to students in InitialVocational Training (IVT) • The REPSTEP projectwasapproved and last summer 80 students from 8 high schools of our province had the opportunity to take part in a trasnationalmobiltyexperience • Duration: 4 weeks (1 of languagecourse + 3 of work experience) • Countries: Portugal, Spain, Malta and Germany (Pforzheim!!!) • Costscovered by Leonardo Scholarship: transport, accommodation, languagecourse, insurance and pocket money

  25. Leonardo da Vinci: the future In 2013 weapplied for 2 new projects: • Mech Your Move! 2 (PLM): 100 participants • REPSTEP 2 (IVT): 80 students Bothprojectshavebeenapproved and financed!

  27. Mech Your Move! Thisproject aims to: • Improve professional skills of young workers • Learn/Improve a foreignlanguage It consists in: • 2 weeks of language course • 12 weeks of internship in a selected workplace
