Datatel’s WebAdvisor Software • Web pages delivered from Datatel • Version 2.x – fixed HTML pages • Difficult to customize each HTML page • User cannot run concurrent WA sessions • Version 3.x – Dynamically generated HTML pages • CSS • WAR file stores both Datatel template and your custom stylesheets • Custom work is performed on PC and a WAR file created with ANT • WAR file is loaded into Web Server • Envision menus now control page content • MUCH EASIER! • Concurrent sessions – uses cookies • Offloads the demand from the Web Server North Carolina Community College System H.
