TeacherTrainingProgram FacilitiestotraineducatorsfortheDeafdonotcurrentlyexistinPakistan.DeafReachregularlyhostsTeachingTrainingSeminars,andhasdevelopedaTeacherInternshipProgram,oneofthefirstofitskind.Sincetheprogram’sinitiationin2005,800teachershavebeentrainedaseducatorsoftheDeafand210ofthesearecurrentlyonstaffatDeafReachschools. TeacherDevelopment ThereisacriticalneedfortrainedteachersoftheDeafcapacitatedtoeducatestudentsinPakistanSignLanguagewithvisuallearningmethodologiestailoredtothelearningneedsofdeafstudents.DeafReachidentifieshighachievingdeafstudentsandprovidestrainingforthemtopursueacareerinDeafeducation.

TrainingSessions Regulartrainingsessionsareconductedthroughouttheyeartoprovideteacherswithongoingtrainingandsupportintheircareerdevelopment.Traineesgainhands-onexperiencebyinterningwithleadingteachers,withmanygrowingintopositionsofleadership.Currently,50percentofDeafReach’steachingstaffaredeaf. DeafReach’sTeacherTrainingProgram PartnerwithUs YourdonationsenableustoprovideDeafEducation,createeducationalresourcestoteachtheDeaf,andprovideabrightfuturetothousandsofchildren.
