  4. 2035 Mobility Vision The 2035 MVP will provide a safe, efficient and sustainable multi-modal transportation system that meets the diverse mobility needs of Polk County residents, workers and visitors.

  7. Cost Feasible Plan is: • Financially constrained version of the 2035 Needs Plan • Based on available revenue (federal, state & local) through the year 2035. • Contains the most important projects (priorities) indentified in the Needs Plan. • The source for the TPO’s future priority projects.

  16. Recent Changes: Transit • Referendum Not Approved by Voters • Fed. Operating Assistance No Longer Available after 2010 Census shows Urbanized Area > 200,000 Population • Maintaining Existing Service Depends on New Local Funding • New Local Funding Source Assumed to be in place by 2014 • Effect is to Defer Implementation of Some Transit Improvements from 2011 to 2014

  17. Recent Changes: Central Polk Parkway • PD& E determined 6 Lane Need • Cost Feasible Projects include: • 6-Lane Segment from I-4 to US 17/92 • New Interchange with I-4 • Seeking Additional Funding through: • Toll Revenues • Next SIS Plan - TRIP • Federal Earmark(s) - Private Sources

Other Recent Changes • North Ridge Trail (Project #312) is now a Committed Project • Western Polk Connector (#207) now unfunded due to unfunded Interchange with I-4 • Holly Hill Rd (#321), FDC Grove Rd (#322) & Crevasse – Lakeland Park Connector (#310) are now funded projects • CR 580 (#357) added as Funded Safety Improvement • US 27 (#98) now a partially funded project. • Local Collector Roads now included as Needs

Other Recent Changes • Comments received on the Draft CF projects have been compiled and applied to the final prioritization. • Minor adjustments have been made based on these comments. • CR 580 (Cypress Parkway) • Western Polk Connector • Most comments to remove a project: • Central Polk Parkway East (10); (5) E205 • Prj# 266 Haines City – Davenport Eastern Rd (9); (4) End the proposed road at Carl Boozer Rd.

  23. Action Requested • TPO Staff is recommending that the TPO Board approve the 2035 Mobility Vision Plan Draft Cost-Feasible Plan. • The TPO’s Citizens and Technical Advisory Committees have approved the 2035 MVP Draft Cost-Feasible Plan.

  24. Public Hearing • The Polk TPO holds all public hearings in compliance with Titles VI and VIII of the Civil Rights Act. Public participation is solicited without regard to race, color, national origin, age, sex, religion, disability, or family status. • Roll Call Vote is Required
