1. Casey Ritchey & Savannah Smith At this station, we were supposed to make things that are shown at the right. Printshop is a good program to use if you plan on making business cards, or brochures for a big project. You can also make your own calendars if wanted. We made some things to go with a business for Savannah’s dad. We made a brochure, a business card, a letter head, a newsletter, and a sign. Its actually pretty easy if you pay attention at the beginning and do the work. Printshop

2. The Newsletter To make the Newsletter, first you would go to the project picker tool, select that, and then a new window will pop up. You select the tool that says newsletters. From there you follow the steps into making a newsletter. You have to make a title and have pictures of what you service is about. Also you have to make three different columns explaining what your business or service does, and make it persuasive.

3. The Letter Head For the letterhead we designed a piece of paper with the headline, address, number, and the names of the people involved in the business, we also designed a background design. When you do this you can save it to a file and reuse it for every paper you type/write about the business. This is the main designed paper you should use for this letter typing business.

4. The Business Card We also did the business card. It has 10 cards that you can put on 1 sheet of paper. You can pass these out, or have other store put them on their desks, cash registers, etc. These will make it easier than carrying large pieces of paper. It is just having a handful or pocketful of business cards so that you can have them handy when you need them the most.

5. The Sign We did the sign because these are also important in doing business, if it is public business. These signs can be put in store windows, other business windows, or you own windows. These make people want to look at them and find out why they are there. You should especially make your sign colorful so they catch peoples eyes faster than the black and white ones do.

6. Problems Solutions We asked Mr. Feucht and he told us that is wasn’t suppose to show that. We got it done! One problem we had was that we couldn’t figure out why, when you start on a newspaper from scratch it doesn’t show the 3 gray columns. We needed to try harder and be able to finish / or not pick this station again.  We didn’t finish this station.

7. Likes Dislikes We didn’t like how we had to come up with our own address, number, etc. for our business. We loved that we could come up with our own business. We didn’t like making the brochure that’s why it is not finished it was really confusing. We liked making the sign and putting in clipart type of pictures.

8. Recommendations We recommend that you use time wisely because there is a lot to do at this station and no time to waste. We also recommend that you try hard at this station to be as quick as you can because this station is a lot of fun. This was a good station to work with.

9. Future Applications We learned how to make a business card and supplies (on paper) from the computers for any type of business. We could use this station at any time that we need business cards or any other sign for a business we will probably be in, in the future. This could be used for the following careers: Advertising Managers, Small Business Owners, or any other career in need of signs, brochures, etc. This station was fun and useful for any other project needed. It was also kind of confusing at the beginning because we didn’t really follow the TLM and the videos explaining what everything was at the beginning. So if you get this station, it would be a really good idea to pay attention. Unlike us. Our unfinished Brochure for our business.
