  3. A Day in the Life of a 7th Grader… 8:05-8:10 Baseroom 8:12-9:12 1 9:14-10:14 2 (snack) Locker break 10:16-11:38 ENCORE 11:40-12:403 Locker break 12:45-1:10 LUNCH (walk with BR) 1:10-1:47 REACH 1:50-2:45 4 Locker break 2:45-2:50 Baseroom for Dismissal (NOTE THE LATER DISMISSAL)

What students will learn this year in Science • Combination of Earth Science, Life Science, and Physical Science (aligned with the National and State science frameworks as well as the Common Core) • Major Units • Skills Needed to Study Science • Lab Safety and Equipment Use • Energy and Simple Machines • Land Forms • Cells • Human Life • Food Preservation • Science class will be working closely with Language Arts in incorporating reading and note taking strategies.

  5. Parents role… • Ask your child about what they are learning! • Encourage your child to teach you the material! • (Excellent way of learning and studying) • Make homework a positive experience for your child • Make homework a top priority • Provide necessary supplies • Provide a quiet homework environment • Provide praise and support • Contact me if you have any questions. Together we can work on a solution.

  6. After School/Extra Help • I am available Monday through Thursday mornings and after school for extra help & detention. • 24 hour notice is appreciated • If a detention is given prior to lunch, students are expected to stay that day after school. If a detention is given after lunch, students are expected to stay the next day. • Phone calls should be made during lunch time (12:45-1:10)
