  2. Role of MTS at Administrative offices • Tell me what are all branches in CO/RO/DO/PTC • Who are the Incharge of these branches / departments / sections • Who receives the Dak & mark the daily dak? • What is your first duty on reaching office & after signing the attendance register?

  3. Various levels of officers in RO/CO The hierarchy of officers are • CPMG/PMG • PMG(BD) • DPS (HQ)/DPS • APMG • Assistant Directors • ASPs • Office Superintendent • IPs • Section Supervisors • Office Assistants • MTS

  4. Your role in CO/RO • In CO/RO, a group of branches are attached to you • Collect the file from OAs and hand over to Section Supervisor • Hand over the files from Section Supervisor to ASP • And from ASP to the Assistant Director. • From Assistant Director to PA of DPS • From DPS to PA of PMG/CPMG • The same line of movement in reverse direction

  5. Your role in CO/RO • Any other miscellaneous work connected to those branches • Any duty assigned by the section supervisor/officers, to the sections attached.

Role of MTS at Administrative offices • Opening of ordinary Dak • Stamping of all Dak • Put up the all Dak to ASPO/SSPO • Transfer the Dak to inward clerk • Distribution of Dak to all office assistants • Transfer the files from concerned clerk to ASPOS / SSPOs • Return the files to concerned clerk

  7. Role of MTS attached to the in Divisional offices • Help to dispatch clerks in dispatch section • Dusting of office and furniture • Operation of Xerox machine/Duplicating machine • Attend the SSPOs/ASPOs as and when called • Sealing of mails

  9. Introduction • Divisional office is the administrative office of the Superintendent/Sr. Superintendent of Post Offices • Controls the Postal operations of the Postal Division • The head of the division is assisted by supervising officers and office assistants in administering the division

Staff 1 or B1 • Maintains the personal files • Leave Arrangements • Maintenance of rosters & Gradation list • Processes the recruitment & Transfers of PAs • Processes review of service of officials completing 50 years of age & 30 years service Staff 2 or B2 • Maintains gradation list of Postmen & MTS • Process the recruitment & Maintains seniority list of GDS • Maintains roster • Processes the retirement of GDS and payment of severance benefits

Buildings (D) branch • Take care of Departmental PO Bldg. & quarters • Maintenance of Departmental Bldg. & quarters • Maintaining register of rented and departmental bldg. • Renewal of lease of rented buildings Accountant – E • Control over expenditure • Maintains budget statements • Processing of claims – TA, LTC, ROMC, OTA, honoraria and incentives • Processes pension cases • Countersignature of NPC bills

Fraud (F) : • Maintenance of fraud and loss, Punishment register • Maintenance of suspension & periodical review • Monitoring of Investigation & past work verification in fraud cases • Processing Penalty proceeding & inquiries • Processing appeals and petitions Mails (G) : • Maintenance and updating of Register of Lines and stages • Issue of DMSL and NHB • Maintenance of updated village sorting list • Maintenance of MMS vehicles & Follow up of contractual MMS • Mail arrangements & Payment of mail subsidies • Monitoring mail lines and mail flow

IR Branch - • Approval of inspection programs & Maintain inspection register • Review of IRs and follow up of compliance • Issue of MABs and CMAB • Follow up of ECB and SMR Stock (J) • Maintenance of stock and stock register • Local purchase and supply of sundry items • Asset register updation • Inspection vehicle – maintenance, consumables • Disposal of old records and scraps

Miscellaneous(L) • Attending to issues relating to SB/SC transactions • RMFM & RNP licensing and renewal • Maintenance of register of claims and settlement • Monitoring CBS preparation Business development • Monitoring implementation of guidelines • Follow up of achievement of targets on BD products • Submission of periodic statements

Technology branch - • Maintenance of technology infrastructure • Follow up of AMC • Supply of consumables • Follow up of technology implementation • Follow up of continuity of operations Complaints branch – • Registering and settlement of complaints • Preparing Defence and follow up of cases before consumer forum • Processing RTI cases • Submission of statements and reports • Processing Dak Adalat cases

PLI – • Processing applications for acceptance of proposals • Processing loans & Surrender Claim • Processing revival of lapsed policies • Issue of Duplicate PRB, Policy Bond • Processing Maturity Claim & Death Claim RPLI – • Acceptance of proposals • Sanctioning of loans and revivals • Processing maturity cases • Processing Death claims

  21. PMU branch • Interface with PMU at the RO • Monitoring MIS of e-enabled services • R-Net, e-Payment, e-MO, Speednet, Accounts MIS, UIDAI performance • Monitoring project arrow MIS and submission of files • Monitoring CBS preparation • Monitoring speed post MIS and MNOP KPIs
