Our time together: Learn more about yourself and how best to work with people who are most and least like you. Learning Objective 1: Enhance self-awareness and social awareness by identifying personal preferences towards interactions using the Animal Matrix. Learning Objective 2: Develop and articulate strategies to work best with personality types most and least like yours. Learning Objective 3: Identify implications for staff development and teamwork.

The Work Environment Turn to person beside you... • What are some challenging situations we often encounter when working with the rest of our team? • What about challenges when addressing topics with our exec? • What do many of these have in common? Interpersonal communication
Sorting Ceremony • You all should have a handout to help us identify your animal type. • We will put statements up on the screen and you will assess which statement is more like you.

Let’s Talk about “Your” animal • Which “animal” do you feel it would be most difficult for you to work with? • Which animal might be good to work with because of some complementary skills? • How does knowing one another’s animals help maintain relationships?
