KAT PACT Prototype* Families with children and adolescents do not currently have access to an effective PACT type program to assist them with their: • Fundamental needs following hospitalization • Family understanding of their child’s problems & a management plan • Parenting skills to manage their child/teen. *Kids & Teens Program of Assertive CommunityTreatment
KAT PACT Prototype* Recent outcomes from the adult (PACT) provides evidence based outcomes that show: • the effectiveness and efficacy of incorporating this into the lives of families with children and adolescents. • Hospital days were reduced by 63% and Jail days were reduced by 70% .
KAT PACT Prototype* • Develop a program that provides ongoing support for families with children following inpatient psychiatric treatment • Projected ROI based on $1,000/day hospitalization (average admission $30-60,000/admission vs $1,000 per patient /month for this program • Shortening one Hospital stay by 30% pays for the program + savings of all readmissions or incarcerations
