  1. Hairstyles of the 1920’s A Web Quest for 10th Grade Cosmetology Created by Rhonda Moran

Introduction • Congratulations, you and your fellow time travelers will explore the history of hairstyles during the 1920’s. • Your time machine is ready to go, and well-equipped with internet capabilities that will race through time at the click of a button. • In this quest for knowledge, you must visit that era to research resources by using the Internet and computer software.

  3. The Task • You are to prepare a multimedia report which will explain about the history of hair and make-up styles during the 1920’s.

  4. The PROCESS • Using Microsoft Word, you will create a three page typed report. (Times New Roman, Font size 14, Double-spaced lines). • You will include an introduction, body, and conclusion within the layout of your paper. • You will use the resources provided to research the history of hairstyles and make-up styles during the 1920’s. • In addition, you will use the Google site to further research hairstyles and make-up styles of the 1920’s. • You will explain, in detail, the processes, products, tools, and techniques that were used during that decade to achieve the hair and make-up fads of that era.

  5. You will compare how hair and make-up styles are similar to today. • You will explain how hair and make-up styles are different from today. • You will list all Internet reference sites, in your bibliography, in APA format.

  7. Evaluation The grades will be determined using a Rubric point system ranging from 1 – 4 in each category, with 1 being the lowest and 4 being the highest.
