  3. “Philosophical” Assumptions guiding Evaluation • Modeling TAR • Ask questions and learn from our work • Use evaluation to improve • Linking Goals—Program Activities—Evaluation • Evaluation helps clarify goals and keep focus • Evaluation as basis of discussion across Network • Use evaluation to learn and plan for future • Evaluation must be feasible and realistic

  4. Overview of Morning Session • Highlight Institutional Evaluation Plans • Identify successes and challenges • Identify issues for cross-Network discussion • Breakouts after lunch

Project Goals for CIRTL • Establish graduate through faculty learning communities at Network universities. • Establish cross-network learning community. • Foster transition from CIRTL graduate programs into faculty positions. • Enhance graduate education in teaching and learning at other universities.

  9. Level 2: Institution Level Assessment Level II GTA (Level I) Study the process of institutionalization and organizational change in relation to CIRTL goals and activities. Identify lessons learned for broader dissemination. Performed by CIRTL ERT; informed by Level 1 Assessment ETTL Course PFF AGEP

  10. Level 3: Network Level Assessment Study the development of the Network and the Network’s impact on institutions. Evaluation of key Network goals related to CIRTL Performed by CIRTL ERT; informed by Level 1 & 2 Assessment Level II GTA (Level I) ETTL Course PFF AGEP
