Pronouns. A pronoun is a word that takes the place of one or more nouns. The antecedent of a pronoun is the noun or nouns which the pronoun stands for. The pronoun should agree with its antecedent. (Example: a boy should always be HE)

  2. A pronoun is a word that takes the place of one or more nouns. • The antecedent of a pronoun is the noun or nouns which the pronoun stands for. • The pronoun should agree with its antecedent. (Example: a boy should always be HE) • If using a pronoun it should be clear who the pronoun is talking about. • For example: Ms. Kou dropped Ms. Kou’s pen in the hall. Ms. Kou dropped herpen in the hall.

  4. Where can we add pronouns? • The rabbit ran away from the pups. • Scree and Talus caught a mole. • Talus walked toward Scree and gave Scree a nip on the back.
