“Sharp-eze” Join a Tradition Keep a Tradition Going SHARP-EZE What: GIRL SCOUT CAMPOUT Emphasizing Outdoor Skills Who: Daisy’s through Seniors are tested by Ambassador and Alumni scouts on skills that they have been taught at the troop level and at Skills Days When: Monday, January 31, 2011at 7:00 PM Information Meeting & Registration/Intent to Camp due (Registration Fee is $10.00 per troop) Monday, March 28, 2011at 7:00 PM Patch Order & Patch Designs due; Final Headcount due Friday, May 20–Sunday, May 22, 2011 Campout at El Dorado Park, Long Beach Where: Monday Meetings: Dana Multi-Purpose Room 5504 W. 135th Street Hawthorne, CA 90250 Why: Keep the outdoors in Girl Scouting! Teach the girls the basic outdoor skills needed for survival in many situations. This “multi-neighborhood” campout is run by Ambassador Girl Scouts, Alumni Girl Scouts and a handful of very caring adult advisors. Ambassadors learn leadership skills and are responsible for the skills testing. Come to Sharp-eze and make new friends, get reacquainted with your old friends, sing around the campfire, and enjoy SWAPS. Questions: Come to the January 31, 2011 meeting where a notebook of information and updates (if you already have a notebook) will be distributed; last year’s Sharp-eze will be evaluated; and plans for an exciting 2011 Sharp-eze will be made.
