Social Workers • staff provide advice, support, care and protection to children and families • vulnerable adults and older people, in their own homes, in support services and in residential care • can work for a local authority or a voluntary organisation • have to follow laws and policies to support vulnerable people • Work with other professionals to support families

Programmes that equip children to assert their right to protection • Kidscape is a national charity committed to keeping children safe from abuse. • Kidscape works with children and young people under the age of 16, their parents/carers, and those who work with them. • Kidscape offers a wide range of services including a helpline, booklets and videos, workshops for staff and confidence building sessions for children who have been bullied. • The founder of Kidscape developed a training programme for children based around the idea of Run, Yell, Tell with stories, videos and activities for children of all ages.
