  2. Daily Agenda • Do Now: What is your favorite genre of literature? (Remember genre means type!) • Mini-Lesson: “Different Kinds of Texts” • Objective: Student will be able to categorize types of fiction and non-fiction so that they can vary their reading.

  3. Non-fiction and Fictional Genres • From non-fiction, we have read biographies and informational texts in class – especially articles! • What are some of your favorite fictional genres?

  4. Reading Log Activity • Today you are going to write what type of fictional or non-fictional genre you are reading. You will have to PROVE that this the genre you are reading by listing textual evidence and a brief synopsis.
