Building a wormery By 5th and 4th class!!!
Materials needed • You need sand, soil, worms, leaves, gravel and water.
Equipment • You will need a shovel and a container to put it in.
Method 1 • Put some gravel at the bottom of the container to allow for drainage.
Method 2 • Put in soil.
Method 3 • Add a layer of sand and repeat steps 2 and 3 as necessary.
Method 4 • Add a little water if soil is very dry.
Method 5 • Add leaves and release collected worms on top.
Method 6 • Cover container. Ensure that you leave tiny air holes.
Method 7 • Leave in a dark place.
Result • The worms will mix the soil, sand and leaves together.
