Aims and objectives • To build up infrastructure and strengthen vocational training and education for craftsmen and product designers • To connect professional designers, craftsmen skilled and unskilled, firms and educational institution • To use the materials, knowledge and experience that are characteristic for the area, i.e. wood, wool and reindeer leather • To provide knowledge on marketing of product design and crafts • To define the elements creative communities needs to grow and bloom

WP 2 – WoodNässjö, The Icelandic Forest Service, Miðás, TEIKN & DCEI Aims: Curriculum design, wood as raw material, drying wood, different methods and techniques, wood based product design Results: • Training course curriculum: • Wood drying • Wood exploitation • Designing from wood. • Workshop wool and wood. Introduction material, Comparison study (with CRT) • Wood work shop in Nässjö - March 2011 • Experts from Nässjö visit Iceland – Autumn 2011
WP 3 - TextileFilteriet, Nässjö, DCEI, TEIKN Aims: Curriculum design; felting wool as textile material, different methods of working with reindeer leather, product and textile design. Results: • Training course, curriculum: • Felting in different levels, • Different exploitations and design from wool and reindeer leather. • Work shop in Filteriet - February 2011 • Experts from Filteriet (wool) and AslaugJuliusson (reindeer leather) visit Iceland – Autumn 2011
WP4 – Networking, Marketing etc.Væksthus Copenhagen, Nåssjö, DCEI, TEIKN Aims: Curriculum development or adjustment of their existing programmes Væksthjulet and Accelerating Fashion. Consultations and guidance based on Væksthus expertise Results: • Curriculum development in cooporation with TEIKN/Nåssjö , • Promotional material towards designers (fashion/textile/product designers) • Work shop in Copenhagen February 2011, training the trainers and designers
