At ISTE, we are announcing the new PolyVision Bluetooth radio. • The new PolyVision Bluetooth radio will be included with all ēno products and sold as a service part to existing customers. • The new PolyVision Bluetooth radio has the following key advantages: • The Bluetooth stack is on it, allowing you to pair the stylus to radio and not the computer; • The Bluetooth radio is no longer reliant on the operating system Bluetooth subsystem, significantly reducing compatibility issues. PolyVision Bluetooth Radio • The new PolyVision Bluetooth radio will eliminate several of the OS specific issues that customers have experienced in the past (i.e. ēno and Mac Lion 10.7.2/10.7.3). • A button is built into the device pairs and un-pairs the ēno stylus from the PolyVision Bluetooth Radio. • A tri-color LED indicates pairing and communication status. • The stylus can now easily move from computer to • computer, eliminating the need to pair and un-pair the • stylus from the radio. • The Beta program will begin in early July. • Note: A has been uploaded to the Wiki that provides specific scenarios that will and will not be fixed by stack.
PolyVision Bluetooth Radio • Simple operation • Plug it in: • The LED cycles red, blue, then green. • Pairing: • Insert the new PolyVision Bluetooth radio in USB port • Remove stylus cap • Press the PolyVision Bluetooth radio button • The LED flashes green for 30 seconds while the radio searches for a stylus • The LED turns green or red to indicate result. • Un-pairing: • Push and hold the button ten seconds to un-pair all styluses.
PolyVision Bluetooth Radio • The LED while you’re connecting • Pairing Successful: The LED flashes green 5 times • Pairing Fails: The LED flashes red 5 times • Connection Successful: When the cap is removed and the stylus reconnects, the LED flashes green 3 times • Connection Failed: After the stylus is paired, if the cap is removed and the stylus fails to reconnect, the LED flashes red 3 times

PolyVision Bluetooth Radio • Key Dates/Pricing/Part number • First order entry will start July 1st. ēno play can now be installed on all versions of ēno flex (versions sold in the Americas) through a new adapter kit. • The kit can be part of new installations or retrofit to existing ēno flex boards. • Now ēno play on flex has the same full classroom sound as ēno classic, with no exposed speakers. ēno play for flex

ēno play for flex design • For ēno flex products that have tack panels, 2 foam spacers are shipped separately and installed on each panel. • The foam spacers are installed on the tack panel to add rigidity and improve sound. Tack panel spacers

Splashtop for ēno • Also launching at ISTE is a new app designed for the Apple iPad. • The app is a remote product that allows a teacher to control his or her ēno board from the iPad to allow for mobile collaboration. • Splashtop for ēno is the first of a suite of PolyVision app products to support different types of collaboration on multiple platforms.
Splashtop for ēno • There are two components required for Splashtop for ēno: A streamer and an app. • The Splashtop streamer needs to be installed on the Windows or Macintosh computer that the end user would like to connect to. • With the release of the 2.3.1 version • of the PolyVision driver, customers can • select to install the streamer during • installation. • The Splashtop streamer is the • application that end users pay for • (the app is free in iTunes).
Splashtop for ēno • After installing the Splashtop streamer, • the teacher creates an account. • They receive a 30-day free trial • or can sign up for the service.
Splashtop for ēno • After installing the Splashtop streamer, the teacher clicks on the “Get the App” button. They are directed to the iTunes store where they can download Splashtop for ēno app.
Splashtop for ēno • The teacher logs into the app with the same user name and password with which they set up the Splashtop streamer software. • From the iPad, the teacher launches the Splashtop for ēno app and chooses the Windows or Macintosh computer with the streamer.
Splashtop for ēno • A carbon copy of their computer’s desktop appears on the iPad. • To annotate over content on the screen, click on the pen in the bottom right corner of the screen.
Splashtop for ēno • Clicking the pen launches the ēno virtual on-screen icon strip. • Annotating is done using the ēno icons. • For instance, click on the pen/cursor • icon to return to cursor mode.
