Legal and ethical cont’d • A practitioner or a user of the Millon Clinical Multiaxial Inventory - Fourth Edition (MCMI-IV) needs to be a licensed mental health professional and educated in the field of psychopathological disorders.
Other cautions • The assessment tool should not ideally be used by people that do not have any professional knowledge in the field of psychopathological disorders.

Treatment strategies cont’d… • A potential treatment strategy would involve the use of pharmaceutical medication also known as drug therapy, coupled with talk therapy to monitor the patient. The patient would be monitored closely following the aftermath of a psychotic episode and then once they show progress, the monitoring would be weaned down as well as potentially the drug therapeutic intervention.
