Timeframe and Schedule • This project had been planned for the Summer of 2008 and 2009, but our architectural firm and general contractor (BLDD Architecture Inc. and Felmley-Dickerson) said work could be done in one summer. • We have moved the start date of school back to September 2nd (from the 25th), but everything is on schedule and should be up and running when students return after Labor Day.
Main Campus Facility (Grades K-12) • The main facility project was paid for using Health Life Safety Bonds • The Health Life Safety Code is the occupancy requirement of the state that all schools must adhere to
Main Campus Facility cont’d • Installation of new ceiling tile and the upgrade of lighting in classrooms, gymnasiums, and lobbies is also included as part of this project.
Main Campus Facility cont’d • There will also be the installation of new heating/air conditioning units for the entire K-12 facility. • This will be a Geothermal Heat Pump System
Main Campus Facility cont’d • 170 total pumps are being drilled behind the school • 60 for the High School well field • 110 for the GS/MS well field • Wells will be 150-200 feet deep
Main Campus Facility cont’d • Each classroom will have an individual heating-cooling unit with control. Instead of a system of controls for heating from a remote location, each teacher will control the environment from their own classroom.
Main Campus Facility cont’d • All teacher classroom materials, student desks, and other equipment is being stored in the gyms and cafeteria. • Kevin Meyer and his crew have been very busy this summer and should be commended for their hard work.
West Campus Facility (serving grades Pre-K and Early Childhood • The old catholic church facility will host our Pre-K and Early Childhood class needs. • There will be three classrooms and two offices areas.
