This project aims to develop a cryogenic suspension system that minimizes seismic and thermal noise to achieve a sensitivity of 1 Hz for gravitational wave detectors. The project builds upon the legacy of the R&D ILIAS-Strega project and involves multiple groups and organizations. The activities include substrate and coating property definition, design of upper and lower suspensions, cooling system design, and thermal noise requirements. Regular meetings and quarterly face-to-face meetings will be held to ensure progress and coordination. The first internal report is expected in December 2008.
