Building St. Petersburg Good Bad Built to ignore traditional Russian Culture 30,000 Conscripted Peasants Died building the City Moved the Capital Away from most of Russian Fought an 11 year war just to get the land to build the city • A Very beautiful and advanced city • A center of Business and trade • A modern industrial center • Greatly improved education and business in Russia
