Short History of Beijing Chapter • June 14, 1999 • Jan Van der Spiegel, Professor of University of Pennsylvania, IEEE SSCS Chapter Chairs Coordinator, Visited Tsinghua University, to discuss about the setup of SSCS Chapter in Beijing • October 14, 1999 • Cecelia Jankowski, Managing Director, Regional Activities, gave a letter to Zhihua WANG, inform to approve the establish of IEEE SSCS Beijing Chapter

Many 1st of SSCS activities in Mainland China • The 1st SSCS Chapter in Mainland China, October, 1999 • The 1st participate in ISSCC in Mainland China to serve as one of the TPC member starting from ISSCC2005 (FE member from ISSCC 2003) • The 1st Press Conference (trial) for ISSCC 2005 was hold on December 03, 2004, in Tsinghua University, Beijing, China • The 1st Press Conference (Official) for ISSCC 2006 was hold on December 05, 2005, in Tsinghua University, Beijing, China • The 1st poster demonstration and introduction for the 50 year History of ISSCC in Zhuhai, China, November 7-9, 2006 ( In cooperated with ICCAD Branch of CSIA) • The 2nd A-SSCC in Hangzhou, China, November 13~15, 2006 • Number of registration: ~260 • ~ 220 are from out of Mainland of China • Host the 1st SSCS region 10 Chapter Chairs meeting in Hangzhou, Nov 15, 2006
